I’m a registered therapist and mental health specialist with over 15 years experience supporting people with their mental health recovery and personal growth, so that they can truly embrace the person they wish to become.

And I’d love nothing more than to support you on this journey.

Perhaps you’re going through a big life transition or have simply lost your way in life. You feel scared, stuck and at times overwhelmed by anxiety and riddled with self-doubt. Everyone around you says you have so much to offer, but you’ve lost that spark of belief in yourself and don’t know which way to turn or how to pull yourself out of this rut.

You might have tried other therapists or toyed with the idea of talking to someone before, but find that everything out there seems so “wishy-washy”, problem focused and so not you.

Because underneath it all you are fierce! That small spark is still there, underneath all the darkness, burning bright. The part of you that fiercely believes you can do anything and be whoever you want to be…you just don’t know how to access it alone.

And that’s where I come in!

5 things you might like to know about me before we start working together

I’ve been working as a therapist in the field of mental health for over a decade and in that time I have seen it all - from working with adults in acute psychiatric crisis to developing health promotion services for children and young people. So when you work with me not only will I give my whole self to our sessions, you will also benefit from the wide and varied breadth of experience I have under my belt.

I firmly believe that all of us are capable of anything that we put our minds to, but sometimes we just need to be reminded of that fact. That’s why, at the age of 40, I took up skateboarding - something I’d always wanted to do but never fully believed I could. I’m no Tony Hawk, but cruising along in the sunshine gives me so much joy and is a small reminder that we can all achieve anything if we want to enough.

I know all too well how intimidating the prospect of therapy can be and how hard it often is to find a therapist who feels like the right fit. My mission is to de-stigmatise therapy and make it an enjoyable (and even a fun) process. As such, I’m fast becoming the go to therapist for people who haven’t clicked with other therapists, so if you’re feeling a little reticent about working with me then fear not - I get where you’re coming from and I’m not your typical “therapist”.

I am a qualified yoga instructor specialising in Yin and Yoga Nidra / NSDR. Teaching yoga has taught me so much about the human body and mind and I regularly use NSDR (Non-Sleep Deep Rest) with my therapy clients to help bring about lasting positive change. NSDR is a transformative practice (a bit like hypnotherapy) that has been proven to help reset the nervous system and even support recovery from such disorders as PTSD and generalised anxiety.
